Join the Seventy-First High School in recognizing the graduating class of 2019 at the Senior Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 20, 2019 @ 6:00 pm at Lewis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on Raeford Road. Senior Awards NightThe  seniors are honored and recognized for awards and scholarships they have earned while at Seventy-First High School.These includes:

  • Any and all scholarships received
  • Highest honor graduates
  • Academic awards
  • Senior department awards/cords
  • Any other special awards and/or scholarships.

All graduating class of 2019 are required to attend this event. Graduating students  must dress appropriately, complete with cap and gown. Faculty,  parents and relatives of the graduating students are invited to attend.

ICON Program

The ICON (Innovative Career Opportunities Now) has a summer internship program for students that will run from June 3–July 12, 2019. It is open to all Cumberland County students ages 16-24. Students will work 32 hours per week for six weeks at a rate of $8.00 an hour.

ICON is a Career and Technical Education Work-based learning program platform. It is implemented to help students  explore their possible careers and an opportunity to learn from skilled professionals.

Interested applicants  must submit an application form via online only and must attend a mandatory workshop, job fair and panel interviews on different specified dates.
