The 71st High School SkillsUSA chapter demonstrated its commitment to service and community involvement by volunteering at New Testament Church on October 25, 2025 and November 22, 2025. Members worked on both dates together to support the church’s food distribution efforts, helping provide essential resources to community members in need.

During each visit, SkillsUSA members assisted with packing and passing out food boxes. These boxes were distributed to families and individuals, helping ensure access to meals and basic necessities. The volunteer work took place from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with members working efficiently and respectfully to support the church’s mission.

Participation increased between the two service dates, showing growth and continued dedication within the chapter. Five members volunteered during the October 25 visit, while fifteen members participated on November 22. This increase reflects the chapter’s strong teamwork and growing interest in community service among members.

Through these service opportunities, 71st High School SkillsUSA members strengthened important employability skills such as teamwork, responsibility, communication, and leadership.

More importantly, the experience reinforced the importance of giving back and making a positive impact beyond the classroom. The 71st High School SkillsUSA chapter is proud to support New Testament Church and remains committed to serving the community while preparing members to become responsible leaders and skilled professionals.
